FAQs
What does a session typically look like?
Upon arrival we greet one another in a welcome circle to connect and review our previous session. We learn and sing songs and read a story related to the children's current interests and seasonal changes. We move into the forest on and take a walk to our "play area." Connecting with our environment we observe and discuss whats on our path. Teachers expand on children's observations and interests, point out their own observations and turn them into teachable moments. Once we settle into our "play space" children have time to explore and create in an unhurried and relaxed manor. After play time we eat snack and create nature art. Closing circle takes place at our "play space." We may review a plan we co-created during the morning for the next session, read or tell another story and sing a closing song. Programs are Play Based, Child led. Our curriculum emerges based on children's interests and observations.
